IMSystems is a spin-out of the Delft University of Technology (TUDelft) developing, producing and marketing the patented Archimedes Drive, a new standard in high-performance gearbox technology. Instead of inherently imprecise gear teeth, the Archimedes Drive uses tractive contact to transmit torque, resulting in a more efficient and more precise movement. With a product that is more accurate, robust, efficient and scalable than existing technologies, the Archimedes Drive will cause a revolution in the robotics industry.
“The high level of innovation resulting in a sound value proposition, implemented by a high calibre team seems to be the ideal combination to disrupt the market of (robotic) drives. A market that is currently challenged by its own supply limitations and is facing a sound growth that is only expected to further accelerate. Having the right partners on board (ABB, Linamar, Finindus/OCAS) and with a very active involvement of OCAS in further development puts IMSystems in pole position.”
