HyperHeat develops and commercializes electric heaters addressing the need for electrification of high temperature heat generation within energy intense industries, such as the (petro)chemical, glass, cement and steel industry. The technology is targeted to rival the adiabatic flame temperatures of natural gas burners (close to 2000°C) using oxide ceramics for ultra-hot resistive heating. The smart, patent pending, integration of such materials results in a long lifetime with a low upfront investment cost.
“More than 60% of the industry’s energy is required in the form of heat. A large part of this is actually high-temperature heat currently generated by burning fossil fuels. The cutting-edge technology of HyperHeat allows to decarbonize the demand for heat at well over 1000 °C, even up to 2000 °C. This electric heater technology offers a unique value proposition in terms of cost and durability, ideally suited for heavy industries.”
