Sales & Marketing Officer SME



The SMO will :

-           provide the general manager with all useful information "from the field"

-           recommend initiatives and growth paths

-           work with the Head of technical experts and the General Manager to build a solid sales strategy and product roadmap, to be validated by the Board


Business development

The SMO will :

-           recommend an annual business development plan to the CEO to implement the strategy : addressable market, specific niches, pricing, distribution partnerships, ... (first plan will be for 2020)

-           execute the business development plan after validation by the CEO

-           report frequently to the CEO about the results of the implementation of the plan


Sales management

The SMO will :

-           recommend a sales plan to the CEO in order to achieve the business development goals : global and detailed sales objectives, sales system and tools, hiring and firing of sales staff, remuneration packages and incentive plans

-           execute the sales plan after validation by the CEO

-           execute account management towards a limited number of existing clients in order to grow the business with the existing customer base

-           provide all sales efforts to identify, contact, present and get orders from prospects

-           report frequently to the CEO about the sales results



The SMO will :

-           recommend a marketing plan to the CEO to support sales efforts : lead generation, brand awareness, sales support (including digital marketing)

-           execute the sales plan after validation by the CEO

-           report frequently to the CEO about marketing results



The SMO will :

-           report directly to the CEO

-           be an active part of the company's management team

-           drive and supervise the sales team (sales and pre-sales staff) : hire and welcome people, set objectives, provide adequate training, control performance, motivate and reward successful people, fire non performing people

-           interact efficiently with the Head of technical experts, of finance and administration and of other business units.


Hard skills

-           Experience (min. 5 years) in business development, sales and digital marketing towards an international market

-           Experience (min. 2 years) in a management position (N-1)

-           Experience in using sales and marketing tools (CRM, website, social media, ...) and MS Office suite

-           Design and present sales materials

-           Build solid offers and bids

-           Drive and coach people to get results

-           Select people who have growth potential and make them grow

-           Public speaking

Soft skills

-           Tech-savvy attitude : no specific experience in thermic technology but eagerness to learn and understand technical aspects of the products and services

-           Lead by example : be able to do with success what is asked from the sales team

-           Curiosity

-           Rigor in processes
